Signed - Svend Aage Tauscher, Born into hardship and raised in an orphanage, Svend Aage Tauscher (1911–1984) developed a distinctive artistic voice by working with whatever pigments and materials were available to him. His resourceful approach to painting earned recognition from Copenhagen's avant-garde circles— notably the "Nativists" collective, who featured his work at Den Frie in 1956. By 1970, Galleri Munch Christensen mounted a full retrospective, cementing his place in Danish modernist art. 

Marked 'DX HL $' and '67' in black paint on verso.

Framed in a period gilt wood frame with linen slip. The painting and frame are in excellent condition.
